Learn to animate characters and complex scenes and solve problems like in big studios. After training you will have a good portfolio that will allow you to get a job as a 3D animator on projects of any complexity.

TRAINING PROGRAM
We focus on practice, so during the training you’ll learn how to work on the pipelines of real studios, collect a cool portfolio and get constructive feedback.

Block 1. Introduction to the course
Basic information about the course: how it’s structured and how to turn in homework.
About the Course
A guide to homework

Block 2: Fundamentals of 3D Animation
In this block you will learn the basic principles of animation, you will learn object stretching, rotation, character transfer, overlap, blocking, creating combined animation, exaggeration, creating a gait, and working with references.

Introduction to Animation
Basic animation principles
Introduction to the Maya toolset
Shrinking, stretching, and rotating objects
Weighting objects and moving through arches
Clear drawing, crisp poses, attractiveness
Conveying “character” through sketching
Overlap and lagged motion animation
Animation preparation and repetition

Block 3: Basic 3D Animation
In this block, you’ll learn how to create character animations in standby, attack, gait, and hanging from the bar. You learn about working with constrain and binding types for sitting and standing animations, you will be able to animate cloth and dangling objects, and create death animations and combos of animations.

Block 4: Advanced 3D Animation
In this block you will go deeper into character animation and learn how to create complex movements: walking animation in eight directions, stylized walking, walking with or without a weapon, jogging, jumping with or without a weapon, rolling etc. You’ll also create your own fight scene and work with references during the tutorial.
